Four service areas, one consultancy
Most clients arrive with one problem and discover a second one underneath it. A tax office asks for a Löschkonzept; the deletion rules turn out to live in three different filing systems. An administrator wants staff trained on DSGVO; the training exposes gaps in how access rights are assigned. POT Falkenberg GmbH keeps IT-Beratung, IT-Schulungen, Datenschutz and Büroorganisation under one roof so these overlaps get handled together instead of by four separate suppliers who never speak to each other. You can start with any one of the four.

IT
IT consulting for organizations without an IT department
Many of our clients have someone who "does the computers" alongside their real job. We assess what hardware, software and network setup you actually have, what is documented and what only exists in one person's memory, and where the risks sit — then plan improvements in an order you can afford and absorb.
-
TR
Training that non-specialists can follow
Our IT-Schulungen are built for people who handle data as part of a different job: office managers, HR staff, IT-Administratoren who inherited privacy duties, Datenschutzkoordinatoren. Sessions run as Virtual Classroom formats or on site, and participants receive a Teilnahmebescheinigung afterwards.
-
DP
Data protection as ongoing work, not a folder
A privacy program that exists only as a signed folder from three years ago is not much use when someone requests their data or a processor changes terms. We support Datenschutzarbeit as a running process: records of processing, technische und organisatorische Maßnahmen that match your actual setup, deletion schedules, and a workable route for handling Betroffenenrechte.

OF
Office organization and administrative services
Büroorganisation is where privacy promises either hold or fall apart. If contracts, personnel files and invoices live in a shared drive with no naming rule, no retention logic and no clear owner, the Löschkonzept on paper will not survive contact with the actual office. We help structure administrative workflows: how documents are filed and named, who may open what, when records move to archive and when they are deleted.
Who we work with
Our clients are typically organizations of a few dozen people at most: engineering firms, medical practices, municipal offices, associations, service companies. They share two traits — they handle personal data every day, and they have no in-house legal or IT security department.
In Hünfelden and the surrounding region we also work with local government bodies, where privacy practice has its own constraints and its own vocabulary. The Offenbach branch office covers clients in the Rhine-Main area.
Small and mid-sized organizations
No in-house legal or IT security department. Privacy and IT responsibility sits with someone who already has a different job title.

What a first conversation looks like
You describe the situation. We ask about your systems, your sector and who currently carries privacy responsibility. If the honest answer is that you need a one-day training rather than a consulting project, we will say so. If the real issue is retention and deletion across several departments, that shapes the plan instead. There is no obligation attached to the first exchange, and no prepared sales deck. Bring the messy version; it is more useful to us.
You describe the situation
Your systems, your sector, who currently carries privacy responsibility, and what triggered the enquiry.
We tell you which of the four areas it actually is
Sometimes a single training day is the right answer. Sometimes the real issue is retention and deletion running across several departments — that changes the shape of the plan.
You know what the first phase costs before it starts
Small jobs stay small. A privacy audit, a training day, or a review of your file structure can each stand alone. Larger work grows in phases: assess, document, fix the urgent gaps, train the people who need it, then keep it alive with periodic review.
You leave with documents you can use
A record of processing activities, a description of technische und organisatorische Maßnahmen that reflects reality, a deletion schedule, and training certificates for the people who attended.
Training topics we currently cover
- DSGVO and BDSG fundamentals for non-lawyers
- Refresher sessions for Datenschutzbeauftragte and Datenschutzkoordinatoren
- Protecting personnel data, aimed at IT-Administratoren
- Betroffenenrechte: handling access, correction and deletion requests
- Löschkonzepte and retention practice
- NIS-2 and EU Data Act as they intersect with existing privacy duties

NIS-2 and the EU Data Act: check before you assume
Whether NIS-2 applies to your organization depends on your sector and size thresholds, and the EU Data Act adds duties that may or may not touch what you already handle under DSGVO. We look at that during the first conversation rather than assuming either way — and we tell you plainly when it does not apply to you.
Formats
Virtual Classroom sessions and on-site days, both available. Participants receive a Teilnahmebescheinigung afterwards. A single training day stands on its own — it does not require a consulting project behind it.
Documentation you end up holding
Clients finish an engagement with documents they can actually use: a record of processing activities, a description of technische und organisatorische Maßnahmen that reflects reality, a deletion schedule, and training certificates for the people who attended. The point is not a shelf of binders. It is that when an auditor, a client or a data subject asks a question, someone in your organization can answer it without panic.
Why the four areas sit together
Privacy depends on IT. IT depends on how the office is organized. Training is what makes any of it stick. POT Falkenberg GmbH is registered under HRB 6640, and the consultancy is deliberately built around this overlap rather than a single specialty. Waltraud Falkenberg works directly with clients; you are not routed through layers of account management.

Virtual formats are not a fallback for us; a good share of training and review sessions runs that way because it fits client schedules better. The choice is yours.
Questions we hear before the first call
We are a small organization with no privacy officer. Where do we start?
Usually with a short assessment of what personal data you hold and where. From there, either a coordinator inside the team or an external Datenschutzbeauftragter role makes sense, depending on your size and sector.
Do you only work with clients in Hesse?
No. The offices are in Hünfelden and Offenbach, and on-site work concentrates on that region, but training and advisory sessions run online for clients elsewhere in Germany.
Can we book training without a consulting project?
Yes. A single training day or Virtual Classroom session stands on its own, and participants receive a Teilnahmebescheinigung.
Is NIS-2 relevant to a company our size?
It depends on your sector and size thresholds. We look at that during the first conversation rather than assuming either way.
